The Chainsmokers

When Andrew Taggart and Adam Pall came together to solidify their EDM-Pop group in 2012 little did they know what string of hits would flow from their studio. The Chainsmokers are becoming more mature after each release and are finding it easier to express the true essence of their sound as they dig deeper to come to the core of their sound. It began in 2012 when Adam Alpert arranged a meet between Taggart and Pall. One of the members of the band had left the group and they were looking for a replacement.

Taggart was at the time also looking to play more DJing gigs until the two came together and good things have come from their collaboration since then. Both Pall and Taggart believe their success comes from begin at the right place at the right time and doing everything they can to make it work. After more than eleven of their songs reaching status at the top of the charts they are a force to be watched for in today’s music scene. The Duo credits Avicii as one of the influences of their sound.

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart’s Efforts into becoming the Renown Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers recently released a new music in collaboration with another famous artist, Halsey. They dubbed their song ‘Closer’. The band is based in New York and their main reason for featuring other musicians is to spice up their recordings with the musical diversities that the other artists bring to the table. Some of the benefits include getting more experienced songwriters, DJs and vocalists for a personalized performance unlike producing singles.

During an interview, the Chainsmokers, Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall got to express some of their views about their musical experiences. According to Alex Pall, being a DJ has always been his passion since when he was a kid. So he had to quit dance music to dedicate more time for Djing. On the other hand, Andrew Taggart started working with Alex Pall while still in college. They made it to fame through connections by Alex’s manager, Drew and constant commitment to their musical goal. Additionally, they both had to work closely with Drew for music production and gigs where they could go and perform sometimes. They dedicated most of their time to the music as well as defining their originality. Above all else, they respected the core values they had put forward as a team. To avoid feeling monotonous, they often invented new ideas for their music career.

Alex Pall believes that contextualizing their career to being electrical musicians and DJs gave them a platform to record more music of good quality. Their creativity makes their music unique every time they have an album debut. Interestingly, Alex and Andrew also sing about their real-life stories such as relationships and other sensitive topics. Unlike other musicians, they develop the lyrics themselves such that their songwriters only do a little piece of the work.

For the Chainsmokers, featuring Halsey when releasing ‘Closer’ was an amazing experience. They got attracted to her breathtaking vocals and that really helped in growing their music. What’s more is that their music has gained so much popularity due to their presence in social media. Most of their fans access their music through Instagram. As of now, the Chainsmokers have fans across almost all continents.

Doug Levitt Sets Out To Find The Real America

The career of Doug Levitt has taken many twists and turns with the musician and artist setting out to find the true heart of the U.S. in a way that reflects the difficulties the majority of the people in the nation face on a regular basis. In the U.S. the majority of people do not use public transport unless they have no other option because of economic or local issues; for this reason, Doug Levitt chose the bus lines of the U.S. as his major source of inspiration for creating “The Greyhound Diaries”.

In developing this artistic movement Doug Levitt has chosen to spend much of the last decade traveling across the U.S. in a bid to talk to those who are forced to ride the bus because of economic issues that are often a true reflection of the nation as a whole. “The Greyhound Diaries” have been a labor of love for Doug Levitt as he has set out to develop a series of recordings, writings, images, and even a YouTube channel based around his experiences traveling over 120,000 miles.

Doug Levitt has often stated he knew very little of the major economic problems facing the people living in the heart of the U.S., a region he believes is often ignored by the majority of media outlets. Levitt lived the majority of his young life in Washington D.C., the capital of the nation where recession is never really a problem as the status of the city makes it a consistent world leader. The family of Doug Levitt have played an important role in the local political landscape with his mother a council member and candidate for mayor. After completing his studies at the London School of Economics, Doug Levitt remained in the U.K. as an international correspondent for some of the world’s leading news organizations; the death of his father is seen as one of the major reasons for the change in career of Doug Levitt as he became a popular artist in many different media.
